“It was the middle of winter and the entire heating system broke down in my apartment building. And I OWNED that apartment building. I had a building full of people counting on me and I CARED about those people. . .
. . . So I called a big heating company, told them it was an emergency, and paid the money they asked me to pay. They delivered the materials and said they would be back the next day to install them. I said, “Is there any reason you can’t do it right now?” And they said, “No, it’s quitting time. We’ll be back tomorrow.
But they didn’t come back the next day… or the next… or the next.
And I was calling them every couple of hours, every day!
The city said, “Look if you don’t get these people heat, we’re gonna move everyone out, board up your building, and we might even throw you in JAIL.
So after three more calls to the heating company, I went down into that basement, hooked up that equipment, and got that system working.
I’d love to say it was my only bad experience, but I’d worked with six other companies who had also all let me down, badly.
That’s when I decided: Milwaukee needs a company that CARES.
